Cat Vaccines

Calm, Careful Protection for Your Cat

Vaccines are one of the most effective ways to protect your cat from serious, preventable illness. Every vaccine visit at Discovery Animal Hospital begins with a complete physical exam so we can make the right recommendations for your cat's age and lifestyle.

Every Visit Starts With a Physical Exam

Before any vaccines are given, our veterinarian performs a head-to-tail physical assessment. This helps ensure your cat is healthy enough to receive vaccines, identifies any underlying concerns, and allows us to tailor our recommendations specifically to your cat — not a one-size-fits-all schedule.

Kitten Vaccination Schedule

Kittens receive vaccines in a series to build strong, lasting immunity.

1

6–7 Weeks

First RCP

First protection against respiratory illness and panleukopenia.

2

9–10 Weeks

RCP Booster + FeLV

Builds immunity and adds Feline Leukemia Virus protection based on lifestyle.

3

12–13 Weeks

Rabies + Final Boosters

Completes the kitten series. Rabies is required by law.

Adult cats that have completed their kitten series will need periodic boosters. We'll create a reminder schedule for you at your visit.
