Puppy Vaccines

A Simple, Safe Start for Lifelong Protection

Puppy vaccines are given as a series over the first few months of life. Each visit at Discovery Animal Hospital includes a physical exam and clear guidance on what your puppy needs next — so you always know where you are in the process.

Every Visit Starts With a Physical Exam

Before any vaccines are given, your puppy gets a complete nose-to-tail checkup. We look at weight, heart, lungs, eyes, ears, and overall development. This gives us the full picture and lets us answer your questions about feeding, socialization, parasite prevention, and more.

Puppy Vaccination Schedule

Three visits over the first few months builds your puppy's full protection.

1

6–7 Weeks

DHPP

First protection against distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus.

2

9–10 Weeks

DHPP Booster + Lepto + Bordetella + Lyme

Boosts core immunity and adds protection against leptospirosis, kennel cough, and Lyme disease.

3

12–13 Weeks

Rabies + Final Boosters

Completes the puppy series. Rabies vaccination is required by law in Ontario.

After the puppy series is complete, your dog will need annual or triennial boosters depending on the vaccine. We'll keep track and send you reminders.
